Sir Walter turf is our superior quality soft-leaf buffalo grass. This broad-leaf turf is drought-resistant and requires minimal maintenance after establishment, compared to other turf types. Sir Walter turf has been born and bred for Australian conditions and is a creeping grass with surface runners, which means edges and borders are easy to maintain.
It is advisable that a top dressing of coarse-washed river sand is applied to the joins to retain moisture. A ratio of ¼ cubic metre of sand per 100 m² of turf is to be laid.
